Why Emek Hefer?
The Emek Hefer Regional Council was established in 1940 and is the first regional council in Israel.
The council constitutes a rural area in the center of the country between urban areas (Netanya and Hadera), with 41 localities of various settlement types within its territory that create a heterogeneous identity that is consistent with the basis for innovation.
The valley's convenient location provides a supply of jobs and accessibility to national centers - economic and urban - but poses challenges: all of the state's infrastructure, transportation and otherwise, passes through the area. These challenges require the local council to find a balance between economic momentum and preserving the greenery and quality of life and the environment.
The vision
The Emek Hefer Regional Council's Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center is the heart of the regional innovation ecosystem. We promote and encourage organizational innovation among local companies and industry, foster technological entrepreneurship among the residents of the valley, and provide a response to the challenges of the Regional Council, Organia, and its business partners.
All this while leveraging the unique strengths of Emek Hefer, including the council, its partners, and the high-quality human capital of its residents.
